Happy Easter!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter. We did. Rebecca and her family drove through on their way home from the Easter Pageant in Arizona so we got to spend some time with them. Simeon is pretty sure Kelton is his big brother. They were best of friends the whole time they were together. We are so happy whenever we get to see and spend time with family.

On Saturday we colored Easter Eggs. Grandma brought over an egg coloring kit with little sponge paints for the eggs. We thought it would great for Simeon. he really loved it and thought he was so special coloring those eggs. Thanks so much to Grandma for helping!

I of course was not going to let his clothes within 10 feet of egg dye or paint! Needless to say, he did get a little paint on his fingers and knees, but he was surprisingly clean when all was said and done. He also tried to taste the paint, of course. I just love his busy little face in these pictures.

On Sunday we had lunch with Seth's mom and Rebecca's family before they left for home. Then we were able to spend some nice quite time chatting with Seth's mom (something we really love). We only wish his dad could have been there too. We hope he had a wonderful Easter with Heber's family.

We borrowed The Testaments from Seth's mom and watched it int he afternoon. It is one of my favorite church movies and we thought it was very appropriate for Easter. How grateful we are for the gospel and for the Atonement of our Savior. how grateful we are for the blessings we have as a family, and we know it is all because of Him. My amazing friend Amber shared this video on Facebook. It is such a beautiful presentation of Elder Hollands beautiful conference talk:

After the movie we had a little Easter Egg hung in our house with Simeon. It was rainy and cold all weekend so we had to hide the eggs in the house. This video is Simeon's second round of egg hunting. The first round was just to introduce him to the concept. He picked up on all the fun pretty fast--especially when he found out there was candy in those eggs :)

Later I caught Seth and Simeon playing this cute little game together.

How fun! I loved how you and Seth were leading him around the house. I loved the Easter Egg Hunt at my family's house--we always raced to see who could do it the fastest! After the first round (when they had money in them) we always played with them to do it over and over again for fun. It was great. :)

At the family reunion last summer, Kelton was pretty much attached to Grant at the hip--if Grant had a lap, Kelton was on it. It was pretty cute. Sounds like he's the Brooks' little socialite. ;) I'm jealous that you guys always get to see other siblings! (Not that we don't love the Heberek!)

Hmmmm...turns out, you can delete a comment after you post it but you can't edit it.

I did a little goof last time when I said, "Heberek". "-ek" (only with an accent over the e) is an ending in Hungarian that turns the word into a "X Group", and it's more properly used with family names to say "the Smiths". But colloquially it can be used with anything, such as first names, to do the same thing. Hence, "Heberek" = "Hebers".

More than you ever wanted to know about one of the world's more obscure languages. :)
